Jesus Saavedra Sanchez isn't done building Junior's Kitchen. Now in his second year as owner, the Amery restaurateur is still tweaking the menu, still reading what his customers want, and still figuring out what his restaurant will become — and he wouldn't have it any other way.

All around Amery, small businesses thrive with the support of our community, and those businesses create special connections and memories. Jesus Saavedra Sanchez, owner of Junior’s Kitchen, knows this well, having worked at his parents’ restaurant in Amery for much of his life and now entering the second year of running his own restaurant. He is grateful for a town of supportive, loyal customers he has known throughout his life. Saavedra Sanchez graduated from Amery High School in 2014, knowing he would open his own business but wanting experience in a variety of jobs outside his parents’ restaurant.
