SBDC wins Small Business Development Center Excellence and Innovation Award during National Small Business Week

The Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls has received the 2026 Small Business Development Center Excellence and Innovation Award from the U.S. Small Business Administration’s (SBA) Wisconsin District.
The recognition comes during National Small Business Week, May 3-9, which celebrates the critical role small businesses play in driving economic growth and innovation across the country.
Led by Director Katherine Fossler, the UWRF SBDC was honored for its strong community impact, innovative programming and commitment to helping entrepreneurs succeed. The center provides no-cost consulting and business education to entrepreneurs across Pierce, Polk and St. Croix counties, supporting business startup, growth and job creation.
