UWEC nursing faculty contribute to playbook focused on growing partnerships nationally

Collaboration between industry and academia in the world of healthcare happens every day in some places.
While that happens at UW-Eau Claire, a recent collaboration looking to improve the nursing workforce overall has put part of the university’s perspective on academic-practice partnerships in a national resource.
Kristen Abbott-Anderson, dean of the College of Nursing at UW-Eau Claire, said the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN) and American Organization for Nursing Leadership (AONL) worked to pair clinical partners and academic leaders for a written playbook entitled “The AACN/AONL Academic–Practice Partnership Playbook: From Shared Vision to Action.”
