Farm Tour puts spotlight on Amery’s agriculture and local flavors

Organizers of the Apple River Farm Tour hope that a mix of scenic drives, hands-on activities, and fresh local food will attract visitors to a dozen family farms in and around Amery and River Falls on Saturday, July 12.
The self-guided tour, which runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., invites participants to explore the fields, orchards, and trails of working farms just a short drive from the Twin Cities, Menomonie, and Eau Claire. Downtown Amery shops are promoting the event, which also aims to boost small businesses and showcase the area’s agricultural heritage.
“We’re proud to support the Farm Tour,” said Kimberly Castagnetta, owner of Bittersweet Homestead. “It’s a wonderful way to connect visitors not only with local farms, but also with the artisans, makers, and small businesses that make our community so vibrant.”
