Middle schooler has big business dreams

Many might think 10 years old is a little young to start a business, but not for Osceola Middle Schooler Bella Putz. Her business “Bella’s Stands” has been in the making for years. Through a little entrepreneurial spirit, Bella is already offering her merchandise at pop-up stands and local businesses like The Looking Glass in downtown Osceola – and she only plans to grow her business as she gets older.
Bella’s business venture started as a personal one. With regular visits to hospitals due to early health complications, she knows all too well how boring hospital rooms can be – especially for kids. To keep herself entertained, she began putting her creative mind to work. And it wasn’t long before she saw the potential in providing her creations to others who could use them.
“When I was younger, I would draw these characters and put crayons together to bring them to the hospital because I’ve had a lot of health stuff,” Bella said. “I went to the doctor a lot from being sick and injuries and all that. So, I know what it’s like to be kind of bored. So, I wanted to draw some drawings so kids who are bored there can color when they want to.”
