Worlds Bound! Rice Lake teams excel at state robotics tournament

Thirteen robot teams from clubs in Rice Lake, ranging from fourth grade to high school, competed in the 2025 VEX State Robotics competition March 13-18 at the Resch Center in Green Bay. All teams qualified for this state event by winning regional tournaments, ranking among the top 30% of teams in the state. The team were judged on their skill scores, based on their engineering design process and team interviews.
Two elementary teams from the Spartan robotics club based out of St. Joseph School competed in the VEX 10 elementary tournament. Team Triple Threat consisting of fifth-graders Max Delf, Zach Haughian, and Eli Helgeson finished in second place overall, posting one of the highest overall scores at the tournament in their final match.
