Bittersweet Homestead gets a new owner, brings change to business

Bittersweet Homestead Boutique is going through some transformations as it prepares to open up to the public. In February, new owner, Kim Castagnetta made her dreams come true by buying and starting her own business. Castagnetta was fortunate to be introduced to the old owner, Deb Leier, who was willing to sell her the seasonal boutique business. The new owners are excited to keep the business going strong for the Amery community.

“By the end of April we closed on buying the business. But during that time, a very exciting thing happened and the current owner of this building was willing to sell the building to us and real estate as well,” said Castagnetta. “So my husband and I purchased the building the business and created this what we call our happy place now. And I’m very excited to be here. And you know, the foundation is Bittersweet Homestead. The opportunity is the 1.6 acres in this beautiful building that we’ve really invested in that I think will serve the community well.”
