Wisconsin Pushes for New Products and Entrepreneurs in Water

The Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation, The Water Council, and Veolia have partnered to offer a new program for entrepreneurs. The two-year program will make resources available to individuals and companies centered on water and water technologies. Water policy and programs have been gaining interest lately due to drought, flooding, and an increase in wastewater.
The Water Council located in Milwaukee, WI currently offers a number of resources for companies and individuals looking to invest and promote the water industry. The new POW! (emPowering Opportunities in Water) program marries economic development and environmental sustainability. More details on the POW! program will be released at a later date. Veolia focuses on developing and implementing environmental services for customers to meet sustainability challenges. Energy, water, and waste are the three main areas Veolia addresses with their world-class services.
The Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC) is a public-private entity created to drive business development in the state of Wisconsin.
