He’s helping REVAMP ‘rural, rural’ communities

The Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC), the economic development organization for the state, not surprisingly, is located in Madison. However, unbeknownst to many, a WEDC representative is working in Sawyer County to help rural communities, or what he calls the “rural, rural areas,” in the northern part of the state.

David Fleming is a REVAMP project specialist out of the Office of Rural Prosperity, a wing of WEDC. REVAMP stands for Revitalizing Economic Vibrancy After (a) Major Pandemic. His position was created during the pandemic with federal Economic Development Administration (EDA) funding.
