New Aspirus hospital ready to open in Chippewa Falls

After just over a year of construction, the new Aspirus Health hospital and clinic is set to open for patient care next Tuesday in Chippewa Falls.
In March of 2024, two Hospital Sisters Health System hospitals closed: St. Joseph’s in Chippewa Falls and Sacred Heart in Eau Claire.
Anne Sadowska, the chief administrative officer for the Northwest Wisconsin Division of Aspirus, said they’re hoping to fill their absence.
“There was a significant gap that was left with HSHS’s exit from the community,” Sadowska said. “The goal is to close a gap, particularly in emergency care and primary care that exists within this community. Really, the goal is to bring care closer to home, so caring for the Chippewa community right here in Chippewa Falls.”
