Job development journeys for five Project SEARCH interns are coming to an end at Rice Lake Weighing System. With nine months of work experience and education under their belts, the disabled adults are now ready to search for meaningful employment.
Rice Lake Weighing Systems, headquartered in Rice Lake, operates on a global scale but still devotes time to the local area’s disabled population through a partnership with Project SEARCH. This international program started in 1996 at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, and since then has helped more than 55,000 young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities prepare to enter the work force.
