Amery hotel project set for June groundbreaking

A hotel planned for Amery's south side is scheduled to break ground this spring under a revised development agreement approved by the city council on Wednesday.
The council voted unanimously to approve the first amendment to its development agreement with developer Anderson Industrial Properties LLC and the Ronald L. Anderson Revocable Trust, adjusting the timeline and financial terms to account for construction delays caused by financing and scheduling issues.
City Administrator Alex Mansfield informed the council that construction is scheduled to start in early June and should be finished by June 2027. The original agreement, signed on March 19, 2025, specified completion by the end of 2026.
