Chippewa County to assist Hope Village acquire motel

The Chippewa County Board will vote Tuesday on providing an additional $1.1 million grant to help Hope Village acquire a hotel, with the goal of turning it into 27 small apartments.
Hope Village, which provides emergency housing and tiny homeless shelters in Chippewa Falls, is seeking to acquire the Indianhead Motel, 501 Summit Avenue.
The county had previously approved a $1.5 million grant for Hope Village.
