UWEC celebrates the completion of the Sonnentag, a facility a decade in the making

The celebration of the Sonnentag at UW-Eau Claire opening was certainly a big day for the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.
After a 17-month construction period and a summer where the University and more started to fill up spaces of the large facility, many gathered outside the front door to commemorate the completion of what John Sommertag noted is much more than an event venue.
