Dragos Meats and Deli brings European flavors to New Richmond

From the kitchens of Romania to the business market of New Richmond, Drago’s Meats and Deli brings fresh European culinary traditions to the backyard of western Wisconsin. The meat and deli market, owned and operated by married couple Dragos and Besse Lee Calotescu, opened shop February 2021.
When Besse first ate Dragos’ food, she knew more people had to try it. Dragos’ background in agricultural science mixed with Besse’s personal background of growing up on a family dairy farm and her knowledge of butchering and dairy processing made the two a match in culinary heaven. But what makes the food so good? Simplicity.
