The River Falls city council designated July as Park and Recreation Month and July 21 as Park and Reaction Professionals Day. Mayor Dan Toland made this declaration at the Tuesday, June 27, city council meeting.
River Falls made such a recognition because they believe that parks and outdoor recreation are inherent for a community’s well being and positive atmosphere. Sports, nature and wildlife and other such venues promote a healthy lifestyle, which is crucial for the community’s longevity.
