Jeff Meyer, a longtime CEO at the Osceola Medical Center, returned to the organization in early July following the resignation of Tom Geskermann at the end of June.
Geskermann had joined OMC as CEO in September 2013. He resigned for personal reasons, according to communications manager Bob Wolf.
“Tom did quite a bit for us,” Wolf said. “The most recent was putting in a new EMR, electronic medical records system.”
He also helped transform the center’s urgent care offerings into a walk-in clinic.
Meyer, who served as CEO for 18 years before his retirement in October 2013, has come out of retirement temporarily to head the organization.
