BID program proposed for downtown Osceola

Property owners in downtown Osceola will be receiving a letter about the development of a Business Improvement District (BID).
According to the BID proposal letter signed by the committee, “The purpose of this program is to remain a Main Street community while attracting new residential growth and commercial development through a vibrant and economically prosperous downtown.”

Land within the town of Garfield has been given the green light for development from Polk County’s Environmental Services committee.
Jason Kjeseth, zoning administor for Polk County, presented information to the committee concerning several ordinance updates for Garfield, one of which was land development.
