The little village of Stockholm is located in Pepin County. It’s about 75 minutes from the Twin Cities or La Crosse and it's an easy day trip from much of western Wisconsin. It’s also big destination for cyclists.
The village has a rich heritage. It was founded in 1854 by immigrants from Karlskoga, Sweden, who named it after their country's capital. Long before that, it was the site of a French fort.
