Henry Repeating Arms will be awarded the 2021 Top Development Award for their expansion in Ladysmith at Momentum West’s annual award ceremony on March 16th. Headquartered in Rice Lake, Henry Repeating Arms expanded its Wisconsin operations with the acquisition of an 84,000-square-foot facility. This expansion will result in at least 100 new jobs being brought to Rusk County within the next three years.
With a motto of “Made in America, or not made at all,” Henry Repeating Arms is a company that truly lives out its motto and mission. “We are pleased to have such an incredible company growing in West Central Wisconsin. As a community, we embrace the Made in America motto and actively support our local manufacturers. We have a trained workforce that can produce the highest quality products for Henry Repeating Arms and other manufacturers looking to join them,” said Steve Jahn, Executive Director of Momentum West.
Andy Wickstrom, President, confirmed this statement when saying, “Henry Repeating Arms continues to grow, and the Momentum West region provides us with a workforce and community that supports us and our mission. The company started in Brooklyn, NY in 1996, but it is safe to say that Wisconsin is our home now.”
Henry Repeating Arms is one of the leading rifle and shotgun manufacturers in the United States and a world leader in the lever action category. The company is named in honor of Benjamin Tyler Henry, who invented and patented the Henry lever action rifle in 1860 – the first practical repeating rifle and America’s unique contribution to the international stage of firearms design. Its firearms come with a lifetime guarantee backed by award-winning customer service.
“We want to provide the best possible product backed by the best possible service so that our customers can not only be satisfied with their purchase, but be proud to own a Henry,” said Andy Wickstrom, President of Henry Repeating Arms. “Additionally, there is something really special about building lever action rifles in one of the greatest hunting states in America, and we are proud to stamp “Rice Lake, Wisconsin” on our gun barrels.”
This is a company who is also actively involved in the community. They are known for their Guns For Great Causes charitable program, which focuses on assisting the families of sick children, children’s hospitals, military veteran organizations, Second Amendment advocacy groups, and wildlife conservation organizations. The company currently employs over 550 people and has over 330,000 square feet of manufacturing space in its Wisconsin and New Jersey facilities.
“Recognizing Henry Repeating Arms and the contribution they are making to West Central Wisconsin is a natural step. This award is well deserved and we couldn’t be prouder to have become part of their company’s history,” said Jahn.
“Henry Repeating Arms is committed to Wisconsin and the west-central region in particular. We hope to be here for many more years to come making rifles and shotguns for hunters and outdoorsmen across America with “Made in Wisconsin” stamped on the barrel,” said Wickstrom.
