Turnip the Beat: CVTC Culinary Program Gains Accreditation

Culinary Management is one of two newly accredited programs at Chippewa Valley Technical College, meaning it fulfills the American Culinary Federation Education Foundation’s national standards. It began the process of accreditation in 2018, with its other accredited program – Machine Tooling Technics.
“Accreditation creates public trust by showing we have established standards and have outside professionals validating what we are doing,” said Jonathan Fike, chef instructor in a press release. “Now students who complete the associate degree program will automatically have the base level certification through the American Culinary Federation without having to take the test.”
