Already well-known across the state and nation as one of the most active and progressive of Future Farmers of America (FFA) chapters, the Amery High School organization took an even larger step in their efforts after a week-long visit to Woodbury, Conn., a few years ago.
Derrick Meyer, the Amery High School ag teacher who has a career in education spanning nearly 30 years, the first few in Stevens Point and the rest in Amery, has helped lead students and the program in directions that not only benefit the students and the school, but has built a program that is now benefitting the community as a whole.
