The awards recognize companies that have achieved significant growth in exports, implemented innovative export strategies and/or made significant contributions to the state’s overall economy due to exporting. The awards serve a dual purpose of rewarding companies for their exporting leadership and highlighting their practices so other Wisconsin companies can learn from them.
Submitting an initial nomination is simple: the form requires only the company name and basic contact information, and a brief explanation (250 words maximum) of why the company merits nomination. Both self-nomination and third-party nominations are encouraged.
The competition is open to Wisconsin companies of any size. The deadline has been extended, and initial nominations are due by 5 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 1.
A panel of international trade experts will review all submissions and identify a group of semifinalists who will move on to the next stage of the competition, where they will be asked to submit a more detailed application.
The winners will be recognized at the annual Wisconsin International Trade Conference in Milwaukee in May. Winners will also receive a custom-made video about their company’s exporting efforts, a plaque and more.
