New housing projects could help Amery expand in years to come

Big changes are on the horizon for the City of Amery as it aims to build upon its housing developments. Two different agreements are in the works to do just that. A development agreement has been drawn up and made for Valley View West Investments LLC to build over 40 homes with the new TID district 10. The other will be from Twin Lake Homes LLC, who has big plans for Soldiers Field and the potential it offers for expanding homes in the City of Amery.

“It is one of the areas that we've identified in the community that is a huge need. And that's housing,” said Eric Elkin, Alderperson.

The development agreement with Valley View West would add significant housing by itself. With the new TID district coming to council May 1, it will be a step in the right direction for the housing development to start. The plans are at this point to have over 40 housing units for people to move into with a mix of some townhomes included.
