Marten Transport’s net income rose 5.4 percent to $8.4 million, or 25 cents per share, in the second quarter that ended June 30.
The company, a temperature-sensitive truckload carrier, earned $7.9 million, or 24 cents per share, in the year-ago period. Its operating revenue — net of fuel surcharges — in the latest quarter rose 6.1 percent to $143.9 million.
