Governor Walker announces new rural economic development initiative

A new grant program offering financial assistance for rural economic development has been announced by Governor Scott Walker.
At his Northern Wisconsin Economic Development Summit last week, Walker announced the Rural Economic and Area Development Initiative (READI) as a three-part program with a total of $10 million to help rural areas grow economically.
"We want to make sure while the economy is improving, it's improving in every part of the state," Walker said.
