CLARK COUNTY, Wis. -On Hewett Street in Neillsville, the Degenhardt family set up their hemp shop.
It's part of the state's new "Industrial Hemp Pilot Research Program," and Cannabis Cultivators of Clark County is the first operation of its kind in Wisconsin.
"I want to be the pioneer, I just want to get the ball rolling," said Jamie Degenhardt, one of the founders. "We got our grower's permit, our processing permit."
They don't just sell hemp, they're also working to educate people on the difference between hemp - which is legal - and marijuana - which isn't.
