‘Get acquainted’ tour will enable new WEDC chief to meet local, regional leaders in economic development

MADISON, WI. – Governor Tony Evers and Missy Hughes, secretary and CEO of the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC) will visit communities across Wisconsin in a series of events highlighting the state’s economic development efforts.

“I’m excited to join Secretary Hughes as we meet with our economic development stakeholders throughout the state. I know she is eager to hear about the great things happening in our communities and how we can ensure they continue to grow and thrive,” said Governor Evers.
Hughes, who began her new role with WEDC on Oct. 1, said the sessions “will allow me to see firsthand Wisconsin’s many successes and to better understand the challenges facing our communities. We want to work together to create a vibrant economy that benefits all our citizens. I look forward to meeting with local and regional leaders to hear how WEDC is assisting them – and what more we can do to help.”
