VC Companies to Build Corporate Headquarters in Hudson

VC Companies (Valley Cartage) is one of the top logistics companies in the Twin Cities region. Based in Hudson, they have been a staple in the Momentum West Region since Norman Gilbert started the company in 1935. Originally started to haul a team of horses, the family-owned company has grown, evolved and has continued to expand in the region.

Initially, the company was small and operated a handful of trucks out of a 3-door terminal in Hudson, WI. In the year 2000, they completed a “state-of-the-art,” 10-acre terminal and corporate office complex in the St. Croix Business Park in Hudson. In 2005, the building was doubled in size to accommodate rapid growth. Now, the company is growing again.

It is with great excitement that I announce our VC Corporate office is moving back to where it all began…Hudson. We will be relocating to a brand new corporate building along the St. Croix River in downtown Hudson! Construction is fully underway and our projected move date is late June. Our new address will be 721 First Street, Hudson, WI 54016, and I have to tell you every time I look at our new address and see the word “Hudson,” it fills me great pride. That’s where VC started, and now that’s where VC will continue to grow. Personally, I couldn’t be more excited!”

Gilbert went on to explain the need for increased space that will accommodate the company’s continued growth. “As we continue to evolve our organization, we will need an office space that can grow with Valley Companies. At the moment the VC family of companies includes Cartage, Logistics, Dedicated, and Warehouse, but if history is any indicator there will surely be new divisions created down the road. We knew that if we wanted to take VC to the next level that we needed an innovative space to help us do just that. This is all part of the vision of setting ourselves up for success and the future of VC.”
