Middle school students gets taste of work in Chippewa Falls

Nearly 400 Chippewa Falls middle school students learned about careers and work readiness through a Junior Achievement program.

12 area business leaders presented the JA in a Day program at Chippewa Falls Middle School.

Local entrepreneur Heather Mishefske, owner of Eau Claire dog day care, training, grooming and massage business emBARK, gave the keynote presentation.

Dozens of area businesses also participated in a career expo that gave students information on jobs available in the Chippewa Valley and skills needed to get them.

Junior Achievement, an organization that teaches work readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy to students, sponsored the event.
