Hear about Healthcare Business Forum Jan. 22 at new Tech Council Innovation Network location

Connecting young tech-based businesses to the state’s leading healthcare providers and demonstrating how healthcare quality can enhance the economy are among the goals of the recently created Wisconsin Healthcare Business Forum.

Learn more about the WHBF from some of its prime organizers at the Tuesday, Jan. 22 Tech Council Innovation Network luncheon meeting in Madison.  

New for 2019, the luncheon will be held at The Coliseum Bar & Banquet on Madison’s E. Olin Ave. Registration and networking begin at 11:30 a.m., lunch at noon and the presentation at 12:30 p.m. The cost is $10 for students and returning veterans, $25 for individual members, $35 for non-members and included for Tech Council corporate members.

Panelists are Eric Borgerding, president and chief executive officer of the Wisconsin Hospital Association and vice chairman of the WHBF; Jed Roher, tax and corporate lawyer of Godfrey & Kahn; and David Olson, chief strategy officer of Froedtert Health. Tom Still, president of the Tech Council and chairman of the WHBF, will moderate.

The mission of the membership-based WHBF is to promote one of Wisconsin’s most valuable assets – its high-quality, innovative healthcare sector – by creating a forum for members of the business community, hospitals, health systems and others to talk about challenges and to work together to improve the health and wellness of their employees while better managing costs.

“One of the best ways to build upon Wisconsin’s healthcare quality is to ensure it remains innovative and ahead of the curve,” Still said. “That’s where the state’s startup and emerging companies help by providing new tests, devices, therapies and software that can improve care, efficiency, reporting and more.”

“Intentional and unintentional overdoses of opioids are a source of heartache for young people, seniors, families, medical providers and many more,” said Tom Still, president of the Wisconsin Technology Council. “We’ll have an opportunity to learn about technology, trends and techniques that are producing results.”
