Bar bites and breakfast: Prescott Roadhouse is open
5 Oct 2017
Street tacos with shrimp, pork belly, fish, steak, or chicken. Bacon cheeseburger wontons. Smoked brisket. And we haven't even gotten to breakfast yet.
These are a few of the items off the menu of Prescott Roadhouse, a new bar and grill on Broad Street in Prescott.
Cousins and co-owners Yuan-Ting Boutsquath and Maelei Catt opened the restaurant Friday, Aug. 18. Catt first saw the location over a year ago while on a motorcycle ride.
"We thought it would be really cool to do together," Boutsquath said.
Prescott Roadhouse is located in a building built in 1890, according to Boutsquath, who said its first incarnation was a bank; the vault is still in the restaurant. More recently, the business was a dentist office that was small and difficult for the owners to navigate.
The owners spent an entire year tearing down walls, installing a kitchen and bar area, and revitalizing the space to make it more retro and restaurant-like.
"We're very proud," Boutsquath said on the remodeling. "This is what we wanted...we were like, 'yeah, we did it.'"
