Candy Corner & Creations opens on Knapp Street
12 Apr 2017
A woman’s longtime dream has been made into reality with the opening of a sweet shop on the corner of Knapp and Third streets in Chetek.
Candy Corner & Creations quietly opened on Saturday, April 1, but it was no April fool. The first day was very busy for them, said shop owner Robin Nelson, of Chetek. Her sister, Christine DeHart, who lives in St. Louis, Mo., is co-owner.
Originally from St. Louis, Nelson moved to Eau Claire where she raised her three kids, who are now grown. Seven years ago, she moved to Chetek “to slow down,” as Nelson put it, but slowing down still has yet to happen.
