Chippewa County gains residents, money

Chippewa County benefited from the migration of residents from 2012-14, and also gained income from those new residents, according to a new study by the nonpartisan Wisconsin Taxpayers Alliance.

The study shows Chippewa County gaining 241 residents, along with $30,754,000 more in income. That’s an average of $127,609 per new resident.

The income figures cited in the study come from federal income tax filings.
