Eau Claire metro hits export record

The Eau Claire area is among 63 metropolitan areas in the U.S. to hit a record level of exports in 2015, according to the federal Department of Commerce.
The Eau Claire metro area exported $813 million in goods last year — a $15 million increase over 2014.
Merchandise export categories included computer and electronic products, machinery, rubber and plastics, according to a news release on Eau Claire’s exports.
