In Support of Wisconsin Colleges

10 Aug 2015

Finding a job straight out of college can be a terrifying ordeal. According to a study done by Millennial Branding (link found here: http://millennialbranding.com/2014/multi-generational-job-search-study-2014/), 73% of hiring managers felt that colleges were only somewhat preparing students for the challenges of a professional job. This percentage seems low considering that the primary purpose of college is to create educated workers.

Momentum West is dedicated to creating and retaining a skilled and developed pool of workers. They are strong advocates for local colleges, including the Universities of Wisconsin located in River Falls, Stout, Barron County, and Eau Claire. Momentum West and Wisconsin colleges are focused on creating a partnership beyond businesses; 61% of employers said their needs have changed over the last two years, with 54% of those yet to communicate their needs to colleges, but Momentum West is encouraging that communication.
