NeuroScience announces new ownership

An Osceola-based nutritional supplement manufacturer, NeuroScience, announced new ownership and corporate officers in June.

A group of individual investors bought the company, according to a notice on its website. Bill Sevold, the company’s president since 2017, led the group in the purchase.

Sevold joined NeuroScience in 2016 as vice president of sales and marketing and was promoted to president in 2017. With the recent purchase, he was appointed chief executive officer and president.

The change follows a turbulent era for the company whose founder, Gottfried Kellermann, pleaded guilty in October 2016 to violating clinical laboratory regulations. The Department of Justice had accused Kellerman of manipulating the results of patients’ neurotransmitter tests, narrowing the range of ‘normal’ results and recommending nutritional supplements to patients outside of that range.
