Business customers, movers, one-night visitors contribute to demand
Eau Claire’s south side is getting two new extended-stay hotels — one poised to open in September and the other hopes to break ground next month.
The newest announced hotel planned for the city is a Home2 by Hilton, which would be built behind Oakwood Mall.
If everything goes as planned, the 84-suite, four-story hotel will begin construction in August and open in summer 2019, according to Mike Patel, president of the Eau Claire Lodging Group that will own the Home2.
