Summit seeks solutions to transit needs

The need for better transportation within cities and to work sites was discussed by about 40 people at the Poverty Summit in the lower level of Bethany Lutheran Church in Rice Lake. It was put on by Community Connections to Prosperity, a countywide coalition that meets quarterly to address poverty needs.
In between coalition meetings, six action teams are working on concerns that include housing, employment, mental health, resources, adult mentors and transportation.
