With more than 150 years as the heart of Menomonie, the downtown neighborhood has been the inspiration of preservation efforts in the community for decades. To commemorate this work, Main Street of Menomonie hosted the Menomonie Preservation Celebration on May 17 to honor National Preservation Month.

The free event featured a wide range of fun history themed activities, including downtown walking tours that will focus on fire insurance maps from the late 1800’s and early 1900s.
