As part of an expansion initiative, Clark County has formed their own Young Professionals group.

The Clark County Economic Development Corporation and Tourism Bureau saw the need for the group and the Clark County Young Professionals was established this winter.

The Young Professionals of Clark County is still in the infancy stage. Newcomers are welcome to meet with the group.

The group has planned meet-and-greet style networking events this summer that will take place in the coming week and going forward.

Sheila Nyberg, Executive Director of the CCEDC, got the ball rolling for the YP group.

“As we saw business leaders retiring and young folks taking their place we recognized the importance of gathering our young people together to help us focus on their future in Clark County,” Nyberg said in the release.

Membership is free of charge and open to anyone regardless of age. The Clark County YP group seeks people who want to be more involved in their communities and Clark County, as well.
